History Established in 2008 Rasa and Allegra began Birchtree Catering as a small business in 2008, focusing on fresh, local food and exceptional customer service. Within 5 years they’ve gained a commanding reputation as weddings caterers that are fully involved in each client’s event, with a quality of food, service and presentation that is raved about by couples and guests at every affair. The young caterers are now branching beyond weddings to include corporate events, holiday parties and private functions. The relationships they’ve formed with the local farms and market providers have given them access to the best meats and produce the Philadelphia area has to offer, and meals are always cooked fresh, never frozen. Rasa B. Rasa is dedicated to fresh, local food and seasonal menus. As a Lithuanian-American, she spent most of life learning to cook at her grandmother’s side, and while she loves the hearty meals of her heritage, she’s expanded her culinary wisdom to New American and World cuisine, and her ability to translate individual clients’ tastes into a custom menu is a unique skill that lets Birchtree stand apart from other caterers. One of Rasa’s greatest joys is watching the face of a new client tasting the food she created just for them. She is present in every aspect of each dish served at our events, from chopping to cooking to plating, and her dedication to each meal is evident in the overwhelming responses we get from clients and guests.
